Sure we’d like to raise some money for a great cause/organization, but this virtual mission is mostly about participation and engagement, inspired by Stroke Across America – a journey led by stroke survivor Debra Meyerson and her husband, Steve Zuckerman, to raise awareness about stroke, aphasia, and the need to fully support the emotional journey in recovery from traumas like stroke. Debra and Steve will be joined by stroke survivors Joe Golden and Michael Obel-Omia and traumatic brain injury survivor Whitney Hardy on the road. This virtual adventure will allow you to support the riding team on this incredible journey as they actually bike across the country. You will also learn more about stroke and aphasia recovery and can help support this cause if and as you wish.
We encourage you to join a team for this mission. Have fun with friends, colleagues, others in a support group – whoever you like – to accrue miles together in your effort to complete the 4,116-mile mission.
