Since the beginning of 2020 the demand for food has increased by up to 50% compared to the pre-coronavirus period in Europe. It can be expected that in 2020 the trend of severely materially deprived people will dramatically rise.
The staff of the SESAR JU are coming together to respond to Europe's food emergency by raising sponsorship for the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) through a team building challenge.
The ultimate goal of the team challenge is to complete a virtual tour of Europe visiting each of the SESAR JU members by 10 December 2020 (the closure of the annual SESAR Innovation Days event).
In order for the SESAR JU to complete this virtual mission, staff will accumulate kilometres by engaging in a number of activities, contributing towards the organisation’s overall goal and hopefully fundraising for a worthy cause.
