At GHL we have a strong focus on Employee Wellness. It’s not rocket science, healthier employees are happier employees, and happier employees are more productive and focussed at work.
In today’s competitive human resource market, companies – large and small – need to start looking at the bigger picture and build a culture that makes employees feel valued as people; not parts.
Successfully implemented wellness programs make for a more enjoyable and rewarding work environment for both employers and employees. Examples of common components include: flexible work hours, health checks, help with budgeting/financial planning, company-wide fitness challenges and fundraisers, etc.
We’ve done Junk Free June and Dry July, so for September we’re strapping on our walking shoes and seeing how reaching the recommended 10,000 steps a day improves our wellbeing.
