I am cycling (virtually) around Ireland to raise money for Stage 2 of Charlene's Project's Secondary School build.
Charlene's Project was started by my grand daughter when she temrinally ill - she made the decision if she couldnt go to school she would raise money to build a primary school in Uganda. She raised over £120,000 but did not see the school completed - she passed away aged 20 in 2010.
Her family and friends have continued her vision and Charlene's Project is currently working with 8 neighbouring primary school in western Uganda and at this very moment is building the first phase of a secondary school in this community to give children a hope of a better future. The school opens in 2022 but Charlene's Project needs funds to build the second phase which will include more classrooms, latrines, an administative block, a borehole and solar installation.
I am 95 years old and I saw what Charlene did during her final illness. I am committing the next 12 months to my mission of cycling virtually around Ireland to raise money for the secondary school.
Will you join me and even raise some funds for this wonderful cause.
I know both physically and mentally this will help me as I try to help others less fortunate than myself.
Thanks for considering donating or joining me on this challenge.
Let's make 2022 really count for others.
