WHEELIE MAD VIRTUAL EXERCISE CHALLENGE - RECORDING KILOMETERS FOR KIDS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

ABOUT THE GROUP

For eleven years the Wheellie Mad Runners have spent this time of year pounding the pavement prepping for the Great Wheelbarrow Way Race instead of hunting down toilet paper. The goal every year is to raise money to support kids living in Far North Queensland with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. COVID-19 has meant their normal race, The Great Wheelbarrow Race (which is 140km of wheelbarrow pushing through outback Far North Queensland) can't go on. BUT nothing is going to stop them from doing it virtually. Too many kilometres of prep work have been done and there are too many kids to support. We invite you to join us in tackling 140km of exercise (your choice) between now and the end of May. All Australian based entrants will be in the draw to win a Webber BBQ. If 140km sounds like too many laps of your back yard in these uncertain times, you are welcome to join a team and cover the distance as a group. The map is laid out...it's the same journey the Wheellie Mad Runners tackle every year...but this year the wheelbarrows and mountain ranges are optional! Bring your friends and get behind our awesome FNQ kids living with disabilities.
